         Draw the 1cm line and extend it by another cm.  It just becomes double (2cm).  Now draw a square having each side 1cm.  It is area is 1square cm.  Now, double each side.  The area will become 2*2 =4 sq.cm.  When the sides are doubled, the area increases four times.  Make a cube having a 1cm length in all directions. Its volume is 1 cubic cm. Double each side. Now its volume is 2*2*2 =8 cubic cm.  The volume has increased by 8 times. That is scaling. That is the dimension.

SOCIAL DISTANCING:
    If you are in a queue (one dimension) of people spaced about 0.5 meters apart, then the number of people standing within twenty meters is about 20/0.5 =40.
   But if you are in a two-dimensional crowd of people again spaced about 0.5 meters apart, then the number of people in the square of 20 meters length(each side) is 20/0.5*20/0.5 =1600.  If a flock of birds, flying in three dimensions is spaced about 0.5 meters apart, then the number of birds in the cubic space of side 20 meter is (20/0.5) *(20/0.5)*(20/0.5)=64000. A massive number.  As the dimension increases, the 'space' increases many-fold.  From 40 to 1600 to 64000.

Mass multiplies:
    10cm *10cm*10cm cube of water equals one liter and weighs one kg. So what about a 1m*1m*1m cube of water?  1m is ten times as long as 10cm. So, a 1m*1m*1m cube has volume 10*10*10 =1000 liters and weighs 1000 kg.  That is why the water bed cannot be lifted without draining it.  Also note, when sides increase 10 times, the mass increases 1000 times.
   Now, compare lizard and giant lizard-Godzilla. See, how the volume and mass have scaled.

Scaling in TV size:
   The TV size is measured by the length of its diagonal.A32 inch TV has face diagonal length of 32 inches. Its width will be 27.9 inches, its height 15,7inch, and the area 438 square inch.
   A 65 inch TV has a width of 56.7 inches and a height of 31.9 inches. All are doubled compared to 32 inch TV. But the area is 1809 square inches. The area has increased more than four times. Hence the 65 inch TV will be equal to four 32 inch TV. Hence the price also will increase four times. That is the Math of TV size and price.

NOTE: If you happened to drink beer with your friend and if he holds a glass that is double the size of your glass, he will not be drinking double the quantity of beer but eight times the quantity you drink. So do not believe your eyes; believe the math.
