MY FIRST FLIGHT

We planned to fly from Bangalore to Dubai.  In the early hours, after long travel from the city, we reached Bangalore airport. In front of the airport, an army man was standing ready with a rifle, behind sand bags.  A notice read, "No questions.  Keep your distance".   First, we went to our airline desk, got boarding pass, also got our suitcases booked.  The suit-cases were carried away by the conveyor belt.  Using escalators, we went further.

After taking some refreshments, we went further.  Then security-check time:  We have to remove wallet, belt, phones, bags and other electronic devices from our body and place them on a tray.  They travel by belt, scanned, watched keenly by security persons.  Then we have to remove our shoes and glasses, empty pockets.  We were scanned by metal detector.  We have to lift up the arms and stand like a bird.  Then we were let in.  Now we could put our accessories back on our person.  Now we are free bird with in the airport.  Every where, in all the airports, there are yellow lines.  We have to stand within the boundary of yellow line until we are called for.  Finally, we got our passport stamped, boarding pass scanned and photographed.  We were allowed into "ground".  An air line bus came to pick us up, since all -walk through tubes were busy.

The bus dropped us near the air craft.  Is this machine going to carry us at 1000 km/hour nearly at 1000 meter height above the clouds?  With this wonder, we walked on the slope and into the air-plane.  The air -hostess were ready with the smile.  We found our seats, pushed the luggage into our head bins.  No screens in the plane.  A book-let with instructions, a plastic bag for vomiting,in case, an in flight magazine, were there in every seat.  Air-hostess announced "boarding complete".  Captain spoke through microphone.  "We will be covering 3000 km.in roughly 3 hours time. There is storm brewing in bay of Bengal.  But we will be skipping the storm.  But be ready for some turbulence.  ".  Thus went his talk.

Then plane begin to taxi (move).  Three hostesses took positions in the aisle.  They begun their usual safety demo.  The plane came to run away stood in the queue of flights.  Seat-belt warning signs appeared.  Our turn came.

The plane picked up steam and lifted off.  After some time, the plane became steady.  Seat belt sign went off.  Hostesses become busy.  They begun serving  meals, tea, beverages and other requests.  The meals are ready-made ones.  Just pour hot -water, wait some time and eat.  Poha, variety rice, etc.  were available.  One has to buy refreshments with Dhirams (while returning in rupees.)

Now and then, there were some turbulence.  Clouds were clearly visible below us like cotton hills.  (They looked flat from earth surface, Why?). Passengers somehow engaged themselves during flight, reading, movie, music, chat, dozing etc.

Finally, we reached our destination Dubai.  Captain announced temperature and time there and asked us to correct our watches.  (today watches, automatically correct themselves. ) He further asked us to get the Ariel view of Dubai through windows.  It was really breath-taking.

Finally, we touched down in the Big airport and taxied.  The hostess announced the "number' of the conveyor belt where our luggage would be found. The hostess and the captain thanked every one. We went through tubular path into the airport.  We walked some distance.  Then, "metro' like train carried us to immigration hall.  There we got our visa and passport stamped.  They also photographed us and handed over the local sim card.
Then we were let out.  We walked more distance and picked up our suitcases from the revolving belt.  We than entered a  coffee shop by mistake.  They said a cup of coffee nearly cost around 500 rupees.  In India, 500 rupees is enough to supply coffee morning and evening for  a month, for a family of one couple.  At last, we went out and breathed Dubai air.
My first flight was pleasant one.  It encourage us to fly more.  One could not have imagined such a journey just a 100 years ago.  What a height man has reached!

Your heart -you do not know

Size and Location: The human heart is roughly the size of a clenched fist and is located slightly to the left of the center of the chest. Despite its relatively small size, the heart plays a crucial role in pumping blood throughout the entire body. Heartbeat Variability: The heart does not beat at a constant rate. The interval between heartbeats can vary, and this variability is considered a sign of a healthy heart. Factors such as breathing, emotions, and physical activity influence the heartbeat. Electrical Conduction: The heart's contractions are controlled by electrical impulses. The sinoatrial (SA) node, often called the "natural pacemaker," generates electrical signals that regulate the heartbeat and coordinate the pumping of blood. Blood Pumping Capacity: On average, the human heart pumps about 2,000 gallons (or 7,570 liters) of blood each day. Over a lifetime, this amounts to pumping enough blood to fill several Olympic-sized swimming pools. Heart Chambers and V...

THE WORK HORSE "="

One cannot think of  a mathematical step without 'is equal to ' .  It balances right hand side and left hand side.  It aids simplification and manipulation of a mathematical expression. example: 2(A+B)  = C 2A+2B  = C         2A = C-2B           A = C-2B/ 2   In an electronic calculator,  the pressing of ' = " sign executes an asthmatic expression  or simply calculates.       In computer languages, it plays very important role.                                                                 A = B   When a computer looks at this expression, the value stored in the location named B is just transferred to the storage named A .  After execution both A and B will have the same value an...

How does your smart phone detect motion, steps, rotation, and location?

How it works-1  An accelerometer in a smartphone is a microelectromechanical system (MEMS) device that measures acceleration and tilt. It works by detecting changes in motion by measuring the vibration or acceleration of the device. The accelerometer consists of a small mass suspended on a spring inside a sealed chamber. When the device is subjected to acceleration, the mass moves relative to the device, causing a change in capacitance that can be measured and processed by the smartphone's hardware. The accelerometer measures acceleration in three dimensions (x, y, and z) and provides data that the smartphone's software can use to determine the device's orientation, detect motion, and track changes in velocity and acceleration. The accelerometer is used for a variety of purposes in a smartphone, including screen rotation, motion tracking for games and fitness apps, and detecting the position of the device for navigation and location services. Additionally, it can be used t...
